Wheelchair status, mobility profiles, OpenDyslexic font, VoiceOver support, and more.

## Wheelchair accessibility status

Every stop detail page shows a wheelchair accessibility banner when data is available:

- **Accessible:** Green banner. The stop is fully wheelchair accessible.
- **Partially accessible:** Yellow banner with specific notes (e.g., "Northbound platform only").
- **SF Muni buses and NYC buses:** All are wheelchair accessible by ADA law. A banner confirms this.

To hide these banners, turn off **Wheelchair alerts** in Settings → Alerts.

## Closest accessible stop

In Settings → Accessibility, turn on **Show closest accessible stop**. The Nearby tab will show the nearest ADA-accessible stop instead of the absolute closest stop. This may be a little farther away, but ensures the stop is wheelchair accessible.

## Mobility profiles

In Settings → Accessibility → Travel speed, choose the profile that best matches your walking pace. Walking time estimates throughout the app (on the Map tab, in the Nearby tab, and on stop detail pages) adjust accordingly.

| Average | Default walking speed |
| Fast | Quicker than average |
| Slow | Slower pace |
| Wheelchair | Manual wheelchair |
| Motorized | Power wheelchair or scooter |
| Walker / Cane | Using a mobility aid |

## Dyslexic-friendly font

In Settings → Accessibility, turn on **Dyslexia-friendly font** to switch to OpenDyslexic, a typeface designed to improve readability for people with dyslexia.

## VoiceOver

Arelo is fully compatible with VoiceOver. All interactive elements have accessibility labels. Arrival countdowns, route badges, and stop names are read aloud. Animated weather backgrounds respect your device's Reduce Motion setting.
