# Favorites — Arelo

Save your most-used stops and routes for instant access. Favorites are stored per region.

## Adding favorites

On any stop detail page, tap the star icon next to a route to save it as a favorite. You can also tap the star on stop rows throughout the app (in the Nearby tab, the Routes tab, or on the Map). Each favorite is a stop + route combination, so you can save the same stop more than once for different routes.

## Managing favorites

- **Reorder:** Tap Edit or long-press any row, then drag to reorder.
- **Delete:** Swipe left on a single entry and tap Delete.
- **Clear all:** Settings → Data → Clear all favorites (requires confirmation).
- **Limit:** Up to 50 favorites per region.

Each region's favorites are saved separately. Switching from Bay Area to NYC shows your NYC favorites, and switching back restores your Bay Area list.

## Export and import

You can back up your favorites as a JSON file and restore them on a new device.

- **Export:** Settings → Data → Export favorites. Share the file via AirDrop, email, or save to Files.
- **Import:** Settings → Data → Import favorites. Select a previously exported file. The import merges with your existing favorites. Duplicates are skipped.

Import files must be under 50 KB and must be a valid Arelo export. The import tells you how many new stops were added.

## Privacy

Favorites are stored on your device only. They are never uploaded to any server. Export files stay in your control and are never sent to Arelo.
